About Death and Grass (2024)

The series of paintings “About Death and Grass” delves into the complex relationship between humans and nature, exploring themes of mortality and the interconnectedness of life. Through exploring death, I aim to provoke reflection on our place in the natural world. Through this series, I encourage an appreciation of the delicate balance that exists between humanity and nature, challenging viewers to recognize their role in this intricate web of life. Ultimately, my goal is to inspire deeper reflections on how we engage with the natural world, fostering a greater understanding of our responsibility to it.

Arrangements (2023)

“Arrangements” is a poignant series of paintings that explores the theme of loss and memory through the depiction of missing individuals. The Wall I Stood Against on Sunday (2022)

The Wall I Stood Under on Sunday” is a thought-provoking series of paintings that delves into the contemporary crisis of masculinity. This body of work explores the multitude of conflicting ideals that define masculinity today, revealing the chaos and confusion inherent in these narratives. In this series, I examine how societal expectations and stereotypes contribute to a fragmented understanding of what it means to be a man. The paintings depict a fusion of human figures and abstract elements, illustrating the interplay between identity and the external pressures that shape it. By blending these forms, I aim to capture the essence of modern masculinity—one that is often at odds with itself, struggling to reconcile traditional notions of strength with evolving concepts of vulnerability and emotional expression

Stateless (2021)

This piece reflects on the intriguing moment when we transition from our internal, personal, and dreamlike world to the defined reality of the external world. Is it possible to determine where we truly are at that moment? Perhaps we exist simultaneously in both spaces or in a state of suspension somewhere in between. I feel that during such transitions, we often become lost. While being part of the background, we may find ourselves momentarily elsewhere—in an indeterminate space, anywhere and nowhere. Our sense of self becomes impersonal, composed of a blend of who we were in our dreams and our perceptions of who we are in the real world. In essence, we become no one.
